Hi Everyone
-
First of all, I would like to tell everyone how proud I am of our congregation here at Trinity Lutheran Church in Freistatt! The amount of volunteer time, donations, and financial contributions given to our brothers & sisters in Joplin has been fantastic!
Next, no surprise - the church picnic was once again a success! Job well done! On a personal note, I had a very enjoyable time mingling with everyone.
And last, but not least, in case you have not heard, Duke & I have a new friend living with us in the Parsonage. His name is Ike, and is about two-and-a-half months old!! Stop by sometime and meet him!!
Well, I must be off......have to go check on the two partners in crime to make sure they haven't driven each other nuts.
Have a great week!!
Take care and God's Blessings!!
Humbly Serving as Trinity's shepherd,
Pastor B

Greetings Everyone!
Just a quick note to wish all of you a very safe and Blessed Memorial Day! Please take a few moments and reflect on the sacrifices made by the men & women of our Armed Forces. It is with many thanks to them that we continue to have the freedoms that we have.
Take care and God's Blessings!!
Humbly Serving Christ & His Church,
Pastor B

Greetings Everyone -
After the storms that blew through Southwest Missouri earlier this evening, I pray that this entry finds you all safe. Please keep the residents of Joplin in your prayers!
Now, the reason for the "title." I realize that over the past few weeks I might have upset or offended some folks with either blog or Facebook entries. If I have somehow offended or hurt anyone, I would like to apologize. Please understand that I am human, and that I make mistakes. But I would also ask that you keep an open mind and not read something into a Facebook "post" or blog entry that simply is NOT there! Communication can be tough because the message or point trying to be communicated is not always the message or point that is understood or interpretted. For my part, I will try to be clearer in the future.
Take care, God's Blessings, and have a great week!!
Humbly Serving as Trinity's under-shepherd,
Pastor B

Hi Everybody -
Alright....there are a couple of things that are overdue!!
First item, is keeping up with my blog!! It seems I forget to update this on a frequent basis, and for that I am truly sorry.
Item number two is that I am overdue in telling you how impressed I am that we are going to "Every Sunday Communion"......the Voter's approved it at the Voter's Meeting last Sunday (April 10th). I hope you all understand that the Elder's and I would not have recommended that we make a move like this if it was not in the absolute best interest of the Spiritual Care of this congregation!
And the last item is that I continue to be super glad to be serving as the Pastor here at Trinity, Freistatt!! Of course, it is easy to say that on a day as fantastic as this has been. Palm Sunday / Sunday of our Lord's Passion combined with Confirmation!! But I am truly glad / happy to be here and hope I am here for a truly long time!
Alright....I need to sign off. I need to make sure I get some rest for Holy Week!!
Take care, God's Blessings, and see you all this week for our Holy Week Services!!
In HIS Service,
Pastor B
