Trinity Lutheran Church and School

Hi Everyone -

Just wanted to let you all know how well our Church Council is doing.  We have had some challenges with working on our budget for the next fiscal year - as many congregations have - and I wanted to let you know how hard they have worked to put together a budget for the 2010 - 2011 Fiscal Year. On Sunday evening our Church Council voted to take the budget to the Voter's for approval.   We had some very open & honest - and in my opinion - some very good discussion!!  

Sooo, we will having our Voter's Meeting to approve our budget for the 2010 - 2011 this coming Sunday, 28 February 2010 immediately following the Divine Service.

As always, I continue to be both proud to serve as Trinity's 12th Pastor,  but also humbled to be serving such a wonderful & loving congregation!

Hi Everyone  -

Just a quick note to wish each and everyone of you a Happy & Blessed Valentine's Day!!    It is pretty fantastic that the day we celebrate our love for one another happens to fall on a Sunday, when we remember and celebrate the love our good & gracious God had for us by sending His only begotten Son to atone for our sins.  We can never match the love that our good & gracious God has shown to us....but we can use it as an example to strive for!!

Also, please remember that this coming Wednesday in Ash Wednesday, which is the beginning of the Lenten Season of repentance and reflection leading up to Holy Week & Easter Sunday.   We will be celebrating Holy Communion and also have the Imposition of Ashes at our 7:30 service Wednesday Evening....hope to see you all there.

And, of course, I couldn't sign off without reminding all of you how glad & proud I am to be serving as Trinity's Pastor!!  It is truly a joy to be here!
