Next Week's Council Meeting

Hi Everybody -
This coming Sunday, 04 October 2009, we will be having our regularly scheduled Council Meeting. And I just wanted to give you a head's up on a couple of things.
1) I will be updating the Council on the Circuit Elections that were held at Immanuel, Lockwood on Monday, 21 September 2009. I will also share the results, and who will be representing our Circuit at next year's Synodical Convention. Stay tuned!! We really had some fun at the Circuit meeting the night the elections were held! I will also be asking the Council, and eventually the congregation as a whole - by way of the Voter's Assembly - to work on some items for next year's Synodical Convention.
2) I would like to applaud the Nominations Committee on putting together the ballot that will be presented at the Council Meeting next Sunday. Alot of time & effort was put into finding the best people for the various boards and committees. Job well done!!!
I must sign off for now.....I am in desperate need of some sleep!
Take care, God's Blessings, and I hope to see all of you next Sunday in church, if not before .
In HIS Service,
Pastor B

Just Checking In......

Hi Everyone!!
Just a quick note to let you know I have not forgot about updating the blog . This past week proved to be a little busier than anticipated!!
Here are a few positive things to hopefully help get your week off to a great start:
1) You should be proud of the Nominating Committee. They have done some great work with finding the right people to fill the ballot for the next election!! Many congregations would love to be in our position with a FULL ballot. Many congregations struggle to have more than one person running for a position, and in our situation, we have almost a full ballot!!
2) It is also very good to see some of our fellow members returning to church after an extended absence! The Elders and I have been giving it our best shot, but we really need your help! We can't do it alone. If there is someone you have missed in church, give them a phone call or drop them an e-mail and let them know much they are missed!! Please do not wait for the Elders & I to get involved......by then it is often to late, and they have found another church home, or left the church all together!
3) And finally, please remember that I am still extremely glad & proud to be serving as your Pastor here at Trinity Lutheran Church in Freistatt. It is truly good to be here here. If I have anything to do with it, I would like to be here for quite some time!
Please have a wonderful week in the Lord!! And I hope to see all of here next Sunday for church - if not before .
Take care & God's Blessings!!
In HIS Service,
Pastor B
p.s. The Elder's and I continue to work on the Vision & Goals for Trinity Lutheran Church in Freistatt. If you have any suggestions, please don't hesitate to let me know!!

Don't get use to this.....
Good Afternoon Everybody -
Please don't get use to me doing Blog Entries every day . I just wanted to sent out a BIG THANK YOU to everyone who helped get ready for today's 135th Anniversary Service. I know the Board of Evangelism & Mission put in alot of extra work, with the assistance of Mr. Dan Haines! And watching everyone on the Mission Festival Work Crew work last night and today to help with the Basket Dinner was impressive. I continue to be in awe of the number of volunteers who so willingly give of their time to help our beloved congregation. And I must admit, that I am humbled to be at such a wonderful church to serve as your pastor.
Well, I better sign off before this turns into a sermon . I hope to see as many of you as possible during the course of this upcoming week.
Take care and God's Blessings!!
In HIS Service,
Pastor B

Tomorrow's The Day!!1
Hi Everybody -
Well, tomorrow is our big day!! We will be celebrating 135 years of God's grace as a congregation. We have a very rich & proud history, and I am convinced that we have an even brighter future.....and YOU can be a part of it!!
Tomorrw while we are reflecting on our proud past, and the many, many blessings that God has bestowed on us, please consider serving Christ's church by volunteering to serve on a board or committee. In doing so, you will not only be helping Trinity build on her rich tradition, but more importantly serve Christ's Kingdom!!!
I look forward to seeing all of you at Church tomorrow!! Take care, God's Blessings, and have a great night!!
In HIS Service,
(and Proudly Serving as your Shepherd),
Pastor Buchmueller

Are You Ready to......

Hi Everybody -
Hopefully the Title line got your attention .
A couple of items to make note of.......
1) If you are looking for some of my more recent blogs, we had to save them to a Word File in order to make some adjustments to the website. If you would like a copy of an old blog entry, let me know, and I will print a copy for you.
2) Now, in case you are wondering about the Title line, the question is: "Are You Ready to Celebrate?" This coming Sunday we are celebrating the 135th Anniversary of the founding of Trinity Lutheran Church in Freistatt. Rev. Kenneth Lampe will be the guest preacher. He grew up at Trinity, and is very much a son of the congregation. He is currently the President of the Mid-South District of the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod. When I spoke with him earlier today I could hear the excitement in his voice. He very much looking forward to coming back to preach at his "Home Congregation."
3) Speaking of anniversaries.....you and I have one coming up in October. I officially moved to Freistatt on Friday, 03 October 2008 and was officially installed as your Pastor on Sunday, 12 October 2008.....so we are closing in on our first "anniversary" together. And, personally, I hope there are many more to come. I continue to be both extremely grateful and proud to be serving as Trinity's Pastor, and I am not sure I can remind you of that enough. Trinity Lutheran Church in Freistatt truly is a very special place!
Take care, God's Blessings, and I hope to see all of you here on this upcoming 135th Anniversary Celebration!!!
In HIS Service,
Pastor Buchmueller
